First Swim Lesson – Recipe Update

Just wanted to update you with the changes I made to our before and after swimming body balm. I made the first recipe with entirely coconut oil and then forget it in my pocket after swimming… coconut oil definitely doesn’t stay solid when exposed to body heat for an hour! Needless to say it was a big mess and I have adjusted the recipe.

Before+After Swimming Body Balm 

  • Melt 1/2 cup of Shea Butter with 1 TBSP of Coconut oil
  • Add 2 drops of both Melaleuca & Lavender, then stir
  • Poor mixture into a re-purposed deodorant stick and let solidify.
  • Apply both before and after swimming to any areas needed.

I am using this on both Hudson and myself bright now and it’s helping keep the chlorine from drying out our sensitive skin.
