Dairy Free, Gluten Free, Sugar Free Apple Dip!

This dip is delicious and it’s helping me get some healthy calories into a toddler who won’t eat anything this week!

1 can full fat coconut milk

2-3 TBSP natural peanut butter

1 banana

a little bit of raw honey to sweeten if needed

beat all ingredients together and chill in the fridge for a couple hours to firm up the coconut milk. Serve with apple slices 🙂

Will keep in the fridge for a couple days. You can omit the banana and it will keep for longer.

DIY Natural Deodorant

I have been trying to find a good natural deodorant for months. Tried store bought, DIY, nothing has worked. Then I found this recipe!

  • 2 TBSP Coconut oil
  • 2 TBSP Arrowroot powder
  • 2 TBSP Baking Soda
  • 10 drops of essential oil (I use doTERRA Cypress and Wild Orange. Tea Tree, Patchouli, Clary Sage, Lemongrass and all citrus oils are all good as well)

If they won’t mix for you then melt a bit of the coconut oil. I just add a little more to get the right consistency if needed.

**IMPORTANT** If you are switching to a natural deodorant for the first time please read. First of all, good for you!! Antiperspirants are a leading cause of breast cancer and also carry a variety of other harmful chemicals. Now, when you switch there is a detox period. This means you may need to pack your new deodorant around and apply it several times a day for the first few weeks. You may also get a rash or breakouts. This is all normal. It’s your body getting rid of all the toxins you’ve been carrying around. Mine lasted about 6 weeks and I am warning you because it was not pretty but so worth it.

There are ways to help the detox process along. My favourite is to apply my doTERRA mud mask to my arm pits in the bath. You look really silly, but it works great!
